Normally, counterspell-creatures excel in decks full of other counters, since you can prevent the opponent from ever casting a blocker while getting some bodies into play to beat down
Mechanically they do what you expect Gremlins to do, disabling artifacts, but they dont really match up with what we would see of later Phyrexian monsters (Or even the few other Phyrexian beings from this expansion)
That's not to say cards like Champion of Wits aren't useful, but it just feels as though there were better options out there, even at the time that could have helped the deck stay closer to a theme and identity
On the other hand, Reserved List cards from later sets that are expensive mostly because of their playability, rather than their collectibility, would doubtlessly drop in price, perhaps by quite a bit
Ideally I want to have reasons to play the card as well as ways to put it to use when casting it doesn't do anything
Players can represent Gunk cards using objects from outside the game so long as the game state remains clear and understandable to all players
